Job Objective

This position is responsible sourcing automotive steering system related products in China to supply Euro manufacturing. The candidate will engage cross-function and global team to establish supplier poor, select qualified supplier to achieve sourcing target. And monitor project development in supplier side.

Requirements for Position

l  Must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 10 years’ working experience in automotive industry with minimum 3-5 years’ sourcing experience in related commodities.
  • Fluent English in written and oral.
  • Very strong negotiation skills towards external suppliers.
  • Ability to build credibility, trust, and rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good knowledge of IATF16949, ability of supplier judgement on design, manufacture, quality.
  • Project management skills, strong cost analysis skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement sourcing strategy in China for company in Euro to reach sourcing target in cost, delivery, capacity and quality.
  • Focus on casting, forging & machining, electric mechanical, rubber etc. achieve cost target.
  • Identify and initiate new supplier development, qualification, and capability assessment.
  • Identify the drawings and process requirements on related products, source and RFQ to relate suppliers.
  • Proficient with cost analysis of supplier cost breakdown, setup cost model on critical products.
  • Engage with Euro team, promote, business nominations and contracts to suppliers.
  • Lead related products develop in CN, monitor each project/product development progress.
  • Facilitate design development with qualified suppliers. From functional requirements to manufacturing details.
  • Supplier risk assessment, identify potential risks from suppliers and develop mitigation strategy.
