Job Objective

Develops and maintains a global cost calculation tool for automotive chains and tensioners. It analyzes material, manufacturing, and logistics expenses to optimize pricing and profitability across international markets. This ensures competitive yet cost-effective solutions for the entire product portfolio. Requirements for Position

Must have:

• Degree in technical direction is prefered
• Entrepreneurial mindset: You have a strong interest in business operations and bring a solution-oriented way of thinking.
• Experience in cost calculation and offer preparation: You have solid experience in calculating production and process costs, ideally in the automotive supplier industry.
• Basic understanding of SAP.  You are familiar with the basic functions of SAP and can build on this knowledge.
• Fluent in English: You are confident in communicating in English, both written and spoken.
• Advanced in Microsoft office 365 knowledge, Perfection in Excel software.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Analytical thinking with structured approach.
• Ability to work in a team and with strong communication skills.
• Goal-orientated and pro-active way of working.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice to have:

• German language skills

Key Responsibilities

• Existing products: define process steps and value costs, accurate post – calculation and analysis of production costs supporting the continuous optimization of manufacturing processes.
• lDevelop and review product cost details: material usage, material cost, equipment requirements, labor requirements, cycle times, tooling and capital requirements for new business or changes to current business.
• Calculation for new projects: estimation of the costs for new projects and actively contribute to the bidding phase to secure competitive and profitable prices.
•  Analyzing and achieving production economic indicators, improving and standardizing the production process and ensuring the quality of master data. Increasing value added in all processes to improve productivity, quality of work and eliminating losses.
• Identify potential levers for cost optimization.
• Review manufacturing assumptions for reasonableness.
• Capacity to bring financial perspective to costing data.
• Set targets for purchased items or services.
• Support purchasing price negotiations as required through make/buy and target setting exercises.
• Ability to bridge financial data.
• Actively contribute to departmental initiatives/process improvements to enhance the overall department’s effectiveness.
• Working with suppliers to optimise their processes
